THE TRI-CITY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION AWARDS OVER $17,000 TO LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS

The Advisory Committee of the Tri-City Community Foundation is pleased to announce it has awarded $17,300 to five organizations in its 2022 competitive grant cycle. These funds will address the needs of communities in Foley, Gulf Shores, and Orange Beach in efforts to improve the quality of life of its residents.

The 2022 grantees include the South Baldwin Literacy Council, CARE House, Foley Elementary School: Robotics in the Classroom program, Baldwin County Education Coalition, and the Liberty Learning Foundation.

“The Tri-City Community Foundation continues to build positive impact in the local community,” said The Community Foundation of South Alabama President & CEO, Rebecca Byrne. “That impact is a direct reflection of the strength and resiliency that is present in these communities.”

The committee overseeing the Tri-City Community Foundation consists of Michelle Hodges, Donna Watts, Ed Douglas, Tammy Busby, Bob Higgins, Herb Malone, Matt Grant, Christi Koehle, and David Lee. Together, they determine what areas to focus on within the Tri-City Communities. Through concerted grantmaking, the Foundation gives these local leaders an opportunity to make a difference in Foley, Gulf Shores, and Orange Beach.
