THE ATMORE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION GIVES BACK OVER $3,000 TO THE ATMORE COMMUNITY

The Atmore Community Foundation, an affiliate of The Community Foundation of South Alabama, is pleased to announce that $3,330 has been awarded to five organizations in the Atmore Community.

The Atmore Community Foundation Advisory Committee, comprised of local community members and leaders, plays a key role in the competitive grantmaking process for the Foundation. For this grant cycle, they accepted applications from organizations that address the needs of the community and strive to improve the quality of life of Atmore residents, including but not limited to the following areas: Arts & Culture, Community/Economic Development, Education, Environment/Beautification, Health & Wellness, Human Services, Recreation, Technology, &/or Youth.

Atmore Area Christian Care Ministry, Grace Fellowship, Pride of Atmore, Atmore Historical Society, and We Are Family Home Care Services received grant awards from the Atmore Community Fund.

“The Atmore Community Foundation strives to make positive impacts in the Atmore community,” said Audrey Moon, chair of the Advisory Committee. “The needs of Atmore residents are always prioritized when determining grant awards, and we are confident that this year’s grantees will provide outstanding services to this community.”

The Atmore Community Foundation was established in April 2017 to make a lasting impact on the Atmore community. The Foundation established the Atmore Community Fund as a vehicle to receive donations and bequests to benefit the community.

Individuals that are interested in investing in the Atmore community can mail a donation by check to P.O. Box 990 Mobile, AL, 36601. Funding opportunities are also available through the Foundation’s website at www.atmorecommunityfoundation.org.
