THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF SOUTH ALABAMA’S NEW COMMUNITY CENTER IS NOW OPEN

The Community Foundation of South Alabama’s new Community Center is now open. The new facility is a convening space for nonprofits, businesses and leaders. The state of the art building is custom designed with over 6,000 square feet to promote community conversation, strategic planning and programming. Two-thirds of the building is allocated for public use, with onsite parking.

The Foundation offers meeting room space free of charge to all nonprofits in its eight county footprint during business hours, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Space is also available for interested businesses and for profit organizations. The Community Center is a place to educate, promote and demonstrate philanthropy, convene the community to discuss its needs and identify solutions, and strengthen the nonprofit community.

“For 45 years, The Foundation has been working to create stronger communities and encouraging greater giving in South Alabama,” said Community Foundation of South Alabama President & CEO Rebecca Byrne. “We are so grateful to our generous donors who have given and continue to give to help advance our work, and we are excited to invite everyone to join hands with us as we open this new facility to our community. We know this venue will bolster philanthropy and support the nonprofits, businesses and community leaders that are working so hard  to make a positive difference.”
